Results – Scratch Cups
A fantastic entry of over 175 players, including many visitors from near and far, saw strong competition in the Bank Holiday weekend running of our Senior, Junior, Intermediate and Minor Scratch Cups. Thanks to all who turned out, and congratulations to all of the winners!
Advance notice that the presentation of prizes for the Scratch Cups will take place on Saturday August 17th at 4.30pm in the Clubhouse.

Captains Prize (Mr. Fergal Condon)
The Captains Prize takes place next Saturday, August 10th. The competition will be Strokeplay from the White Tees. Entry fee €12.
Presentation of Prizes is on the night and I look forward to seeing you all there for the celebrations and festivities from 8.45pm.
The timesheet will remain in the hall until Wednesday, and the draw for partners will be published on Thursday. Spaces are filling up fast so be sure to get your name onto the sheet if you wish to play.
Men’s Fixtures
The Bulmer’s Open Singles series continues on Tuesday, Friday & Sunday. Singles Stableford from the White Tees. Members €7, Visitors €20. Also running on the August Bank Holiday Monday.
The current qualifying mark is Cat 1 – 26pts, Cat 2 – 31pts, Cat 3 – 33pts, Cat 4 – 32pts.
The Hub 9-hole singles stableford is running every day (after 2pm on a Saturday). Green Tees Men / Red Tees Ladies. Entry Fee is €3. Enter as often as you like!
Remember that you need to play at least 6 times to be eligible to qualify for the Grand Final in September. A full update of prize winners and leaderboard will be published this week.
The Donoughmore Cup Singles Matchplay and Paddy Murray Fourball are progressing nicely with both competitions now at semi-final stage. Cut-off date to get both competitions finalised is September 8th.
Junior Golf
The Captains Prize to Juniors takes place on Friday 9th of August. The timesheet is booked from 9.30am to 11am so come along and play anytime in that period. The winner’s prize will be presented on Captains Prize night.
Volunteer Work
Any member (gents or ladies) interested in carrying out some volunteer work around the course is invited to join us at 5.30pm on Thursday August 8th in the club carpark. Bring along gloves, buckets, garden spades or anything else you think might be needed to help with divot repairs and some light grass strimming.
Seniors
Next Event: Thursday 8th August with draws from 10.00 am to 11.30am. All seniors most welcome.

LADIES NOTES
Ladies Match Play Competition
The ladies in the club ae enjoying playing The Donoughmore Match Play competition at the moment. We are now at Semi-final stage with Bobbi Holohan playing Marion O’Neill in one match. The other match is our Lady Captain Eta Barry Walsh playing Grace Buckley. The winners of the above will play in the Club final! Best of luck ladies.
Mary McKenna Interclub Team
Our Mary McKenna team are now in The Munster final of the competition. We are playing East Cork on Thursday 8th August in Clonmel. All support welcome

Play golf at St. Helen’s Bay, Rosslare on Sunday 29th September. Dinner and prizegiving Sunday evening in Wexford. Stay overnight Sunday at Clayton Whites Hotel in Wexford.

Summer Saturday Singles
Running until Saturday, August 24th, this 9-hole competition (holes 1-9) allows participants to play as many Saturdays as they wish, with one card to count.
The Hub 9 Hole Competition
The Hub 9-Hole Summer Series is open to all club members and available daily from Monday to Friday, Sunday, and after 2 p.m. on Saturdays (excluding during POY events).
The Red Tees Scramble
This Tuesday evening scramble is proving very popular with a large turnout each week. It continues each Tuesday evening put your name down on the what’s app and join in the fun.
