Next Thursday the 14th of September The Table Quiz
Actually Stop the Lights!!
We are running a quiz in the Club following the continued success of our Jimmy Bruen team who will be heading to Westport to play in the All-Ireland semi-final (and hopefully the final – fingers crossed) on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September.
The purpose of the quiz is to raise funds to help to defray some of the costs associated with the team having to travel to Westport.
It is hoped that as many members (and their friends & family) will attend and support this fundraising quiz in the Clubhouse on THURSDAY 14th September at 8.30pm sharp. The cost is €10 per person or €40 per table. If you are unable to put a team together, please just turn up on the night and the organisers will get you 3 others.

There will be a major raffle on the night with some great prizes. Raffle tickets will be €5 per ticket or 3 for €10. Tickets will be on sale prior to the quiz night.
This year’s theme is “STOP the LIGHTS with Bunny Brophy”.
Finally, the team would be delighted if members might consider traveling to Westport to support them

Ladies Notes.
Competition Results.
Wednesday 6th September 17 Hole Stableford (non-qualifying) was a club competition and was won by Helen O Donoghue (23) 34pts.
President Prize 2023. Mr Shay Bannon.
A huge number of members turned out to play in this important competition. The sun shone from sunrise to sunset and certainly challenged all who participated. The sight of umbrellas as sun shields and in some cases various items of clothing doubled as head gear in an effort to avoid over exposure to the sun was certainly one we are not used to in Clonmel. However, it was only those who managed to keep their cool (not only from the sun) that were worthy winners.
1st Claire Cosgrove 39pts
2nd Helen O’Donoghue 36pts
Gross Roisin Quinlivan 25pts
3rd Brid Quinlivan 35pts (B9)
Wonderful to see Claire, a GIG only a few years ago. win her first Major. Equally as inspiring is to see Helen O’D a stalwart of the club on a winning streak. Well Done to all those who appeared in the winning frame.
Thanks to Mr Shay Bannon for a super organised day and for his continued hard work and commitment to Clonmel Golf Club.
