MENS NOTES:
Alan Maher (Londis) Spring League Week 3
Week 3 of the League has now concluded and a full update on Team Scores and a League Table are posted on the men’s notice board.
The early League Table shows that Team 15 (P Gaffney, E Blanchfield, G Casey, D Morrissey) are leading the way with 223pts followed closely by a possy of Teams who have all scored over 200pts during the first 3 weeks.
Remember that it only takes a couple of good weeks for any of the other teams to force your way into that top 10!
Men’s Fixtures
Week 4 of the League is extended until next Sunday, March 3rd, as the course was again closed for a number of days last week which meant that we did not get enough play for Week 4. This means that the holes in play will have to remain 1-3, 10-18 for another week at least.
Week 5 also commences on Monday February 26th and runs until Sunday March 3rd. Fingers crossed that we get a break in the weather at some stage!
Weekly Entry fee is €3.
Placing everywhere through the green. See Notice Board for full T&C’s of the League.
.
Reminders
Please put your Team number on top of your scorecard. As we have multiple weeks running in parallel, it is also important that all players ensure that the correct Week Nr. and Date is on their cards to assist the card checkers.
Don’t forget that you now have the option to enter the club lotto draw at competition sign in stage on the computer.
Condolences
It is with sadness that we note the passing of our dear member, Mary Morris. Mary was a valuable member of Clonmel Golf Club for over 30 years and played in the Challenge Cup team for the club as well as club sponsor. Her husband, Eldon who predeceased her, was also a member along with her son David and grandson Daniel and sister-in-law Mairead Morris. Our deepest condolences to her sons David, Paul, Conor and Brian, daughter Anne (Lyons) and sister-in-law Mairead and to the extended Morris family and to Mary’s many friends in golf who will miss her greatly.
We remember Ciaran Lawler, brother of our member Barry Lawler who sadly passed away in Dublin last week. Our deepest sympathies to Barry and his extended family on his loss. Also, our sympathies to Jane Ronan on the passing of her mother Anna McGrath.

Ladies Notes
The weather was challenging this past week, so the weekly 12-hole competition did not go ahead. However, Ladies had the chance to play in The Easter Hamper, which is very kindly sponsored by Whelan’s Butchers, Oakville. It can be played on any day of the week. Combined best two scores to count.
